Transforming a Bridgwater Town Centre Property into a Quality 4-Bed HMO

We are delighted to share the exciting news that Tekkwise Ltd has successfully gained planning permission for a new 4-bedroom House of Multiple Occupation (HMO) in the heart of Bridgwater town centre.

This project presented a fantastic opportunity to breathe new life into an existing commercial property with unused first-floor space, maximising its potential and contributing to much-needed high-quality accommodation in a prime location.


✅ Making the Most of Undervalued Space

The first floor of this commercial building was underutilised, but we saw the potential to turn it into a modern, comfortable living environment. Our design carefully balanced practicality, building regulations, and the expectations of future tenants to create an attractive and functional layout.


🏠 What We Designed

Our layout includes:

  • 4 good-sized bedrooms to accommodate residents comfortably

  • 3 bathrooms, including one ensuite, to reduce shared facilities and improve convenience

  • A large open-plan living, dining separate kitchen area, perfect for socialising and day-to-day living

  • An outdoor terrace, providing valuable private external space rarely seen in HMOs

  • A separate entrance directly onto the new Celebration Mile – enhancing accessibility and independence from the ground floor commercial area

  • Parking to the rear, supporting ease of access and tenant appeal
